Facebook - Reinventing Stalking
Facebook has made stalking a much easier and much less dangerous activity.
No longer do we have to climb up trees to look through the windows of those we stalk - the only windows we have to look at are our Facebook windows.
No longer do we have to trail those we stalk throughout their daily activities - their status updates keep us up to date on their whereabouts.
No longer do we have to casually ask their friends for information regarding those we stalk - their wall has all of the information we need.
No longer do we have to take candid photos of them as they go about their routines - their photo albums have all of the photos we need.
Facebook stalking is quickly replacing baseball as America’s favourite past-time. Don’t even bother trying to pretend you don’t do it - we all do it. Just take a moment to remember those before us who stalked before social networking was available. They risked life and limb in order to stalk those they love and we owe a lot to them.
